| Breckenridge |

|
Located 92 mi/148 km (about 2 ½ hrs. drive by car) from Denver’s International Airport, the Town of Breckenridge originated in 1859 as part of the Colorado “gold rush”. It is one of the largest National Historic Districts in Colorado, and the ski area is the 3rd largest in the state. One of the first ski resorts to get early season snow due to its high elevation, many of the European ski teams train on these mountains in preparation for the World Cup circuit. Breckenridge offers some of the best April spring skiing in the USA due to its high elevation and sunshine. The Victorian Main Street offers some of the best dining, shops and night life in Colorado, and the four massive ski mountains, Peaks 7, 8, 9 and 10, offer some of the most diverse terrain. An interchangeable lift ticket allows one to ski at Keystone (including night skiing), Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek. There is also a free shuttle bus available to all ski areas in Summit County. www.breckenridge.com |
